About Sustainability Told by an Idiot is fully committed to reducing its impact on the environment. We include environmental commitments in our Business Plan SMART objectives and through our activities we always aim to reduce theatre’s long-term impact on the environment and model best practice for similar sized cultural organisations. We set our work in a national and international context. We are committed to supporting the ambitions of the landmark Paris Agreement of December 2015 to limit global temperature rise to below 2C against pre-industrial levels. Our full green policy can be read here. As part of our commitment to work as environmentally as possible, we have recently produced two shows to the Theatre Green Book baseline standard, Would You Bet Against Us? and The Killing of Sister George. Read our blog on our first encounter with the Theatre Green Book here. The main measures for a production to achieve the Baseline standard is for 50% of the show to have had a previous life and 65% of the show to go on to have a future life. The results of our Theatre Green Book productions are below. Both shows exceeded the targets of the baseline standard overall, however certain department results came in under target and are therefore areas to work on in future. To note, Would You Bet Against Us? grouped sound and LX together under 'technical'. Target Would You Bet Against Us?
