Biyi Bandele A message from our Artistic Director, Paul Hunter: We are deeply saddened to hear the news of the death of Biyi Bandele. He was a wonderful poetic writer and a lovely man. I had the joy of working with him on several projects over the years, and in 1999 he wrote the first text that the Idiots ever tackled. In Happy Birthday Mr. Deka D he playfully provoked us and took our work in an entirely different direction. He was also the coolest man I have ever met, next to him I felt like a character from a Tex Avery cartoon.
