Leah Bierman Filmmaker and visual artist Leah Bierman, has an eye for the obscure. Since 2024, she has used her filmmaking skill to craft striking yet enigmatic visuals for theatre, dancing shadow with light. When designing the projections for the Charlie and Stan production, Leah primarily used footage she shot herself. Implementing her skillset, she used her eye to capture the unseen travelling across the UK to bring her vision to life. Adding elements of 1920s archive footage, her projections formed a dynamic backdrop for the run of the show aboard the Queen Mary 2. Leah began working with Told by an idiot in 2024 on their production, The Cat and The Canary. Her natural instinct to create visually provocative, compelling imagery was a perfect fit for a company renowned for the visual flair of their own productions. Having trained as an actor during her adolescence, bringing her film work into the theatre was a natural evolution for Leah. Since graduating from Brighton Film and Screen School in 2022, Leah has cast her lens to a wide variety of projects, capturing the essence of the world around her. A multi-faceted creative, Leah has experience performing many roles on a film set, from writing and directing music videos, creating SFX for ITV dramas, editing and researching feature length documentaries and filming and editing live lounge music videos.
