Told by an Idiot is a National Portfolio Organisation of Arts Council England which means we receive a fixed amount of public subsidy each year – presently amounting to around 48% of our total income. The rest of our income we raise through earning money from touring, from running workshops and participation opportunities, from collaborations with a wide range of unique and joyful partners to create the work, and increasingly more and more important, from sponsorship and individual donations.

You can become an Idiot along with us - and directly contribute to the creation of our work on and off stage. Our Idiot Supporter levels outline ways you can make a difference - from funding props and costumes used in research and development weeks, to bursary placements for emerging artists and directors.

Our supporters have a close relationship with the company, artists we work with and our processes of creating playful, irreverent and comic theatre productions. Please click on 'donate' on the right to be taken through to our levels of support, and contribute to our work with an annual or monthly donation.

For more information about donating to the company, whether it be for a production or for our work with emerging artists and Taught by an Idiot projects, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please contact Jenni Grainger (Executive Director) on 020 7407 4123.
