Jennifer Holton appointed as new Executive Director and Co-CEO

Told by an Idiot are excited to announce the appointment of Jennifer Holton as Executive Director, following Jenni Grainger's departure. Jen will work alongside Artistic Director Paul Hunter as Joint Co-Chief Executive.  

Jen commented: "As I step into the role of Executive Director of Told by an Idiot, I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity to continue my journey with this extraordinary company. Having initially joined the organisation as Assistant Producer in 2015, I've been privileged to develop my career with the Idiots. In this time, I've worked with a vast array of national and international partners, developing innovative and risk-taking work both on and off stage with brilliant colleagues and the wider Idiot community. To be entrusted with working alongside Paul to guide Told by an Idiot’s future as Executive Director and co-CEO is an absolute privilege. I’m dedicated to realising Paul’s vision for the company through a sustainable business plan, championing innovation and accessibility, and ensuring the boundless creativity of Told by an Idiot reaches the widest possible audience." 

Told by an Idiot Artistic Director, Paul Hunter said: "After a lengthy reflection and recruitment process I am delighted to announce that Jennifer Holton will be Told by an Idiots new Executive Director. Jen has worked for the company for over 8 years and her passion, insight and ambition has been at the heart of the company's success over the past decade . Her understanding of the company's ethos, her rigour and genuine commitment to access and collaboration made her an outstanding candidate. I very much look forward to creating the unexpected with her on the next stage of the Idiot journey."
