Sophie trained in Performing Arts at Middlesex University and ENSATT, Paris. She also has a Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching Shakespeare from the RSC in collaboration with Warwick University.

As an actor Sophie has worked extensively for Shakespeare’s Globe (Emilia, Henry VI, Richard III, A Midsummer Nights’ Dream, Twelfth Night, Titus Andronicus)The RSC, (As You Like It, The Comedy of Errors, King Lear, The Drunks, Oxygen, Antony and Cleopatra), The Royal Court (The Prudes, The Wolf From The Door, Collaborations), Spymonkey Theatre Company (Every Last Trick at Northampton Theatre Royal, Mrs Hudson’s Christmas Corker at Wilton’s Music Hall, A Christmas Carol with Liverpool Playhouseand of course Told by an Idiot (Get Happy at the Barbican and You Can’t Take It With You at Manchester Royal Exchange).

As a director, Sophie's credits include: Twelfth Night (LAMDA); Henry V1 Part 3 (E15 at Shakespeare's Globe) and King Lear (Shifting Sands Theatre Company).

As an education practitioner Sophie has worked with the RSC delivering workshops for schools and with Coventry and Birmingham Universities for Told by an Idiot. She has also taught and directed Shakespeare projects at drama schools including LAMDA and PPA and led Shakespeare and clowning workshops for Spymonkey. Most recently she is now engaged as a higher education practitioner at The Globe.
