Simon is a theatre director. He started his career at the Bush Theatre in West London, where he was Artistic Director for twelve years. He has directed plays commercially in the West End, widely in the UK subsidised sector as well as elsewhere in Europe and the USA. Latterly, he was Artistic Director of the Theatre Royal Plymouth for twenty years, during which time he initiated an ongoing producing partnership with Told by an Idiot.
